The little things that God does...

Does God ever do things that seem to say "hey, see? I really AM here" like when a certain verse stands out to you, or someone tells you that they're praying for you... I can remember once when i heard about how the furthest star ever seen was in the shape of a cross...wow, really? It;s like God hides himself and says "peekaboo!" when we find Him... Another time i can remember; I was sitting on the beach at camp in Florida, and all of the sudden, the sound of the waves and the feeling of the soft sand beneath me reassured me that God was the creator of all that is and will ever be! I am in good hands. Tonight i was sitting in bed, with a headache. couldn't sleep...thinking about my hurting friends and feeling a bit discouraged. Earlier my mom had reminded me that i needed to talk to a friend that i hadn't spoken to for a while... I was like "mom, no...I don't wanna bother him.. I feel like every time i talk to him, i am being obnoxious..." so i decided not to. Well tonight while i was killing time on facebook, a chat popped up from him! We talked for like 30 minutes about what God is doing in our lives. It was so very refreshing and encocuraging for me... It's amazing how God can use a friend to encourage you!
How often do we make an effort to encourage someone? There are so many people - friends, that hurt. We may not even know. Maybe even a simple, "hey i'm praying for you today" could speak volumes! God calls us to love one another and spend time in prayer for eachother, serving God together... Let's make a commitment to go that extra mile... You never know how God might use you!
